Hi, I’m Marli Duncan, a Registered Psychologist living and working in Southern Alberta- on the traditional territory of the Blackfoot people. My Blackfoot name is Naatoyii Kiitstakakii (Pretty Offering Woman).
I’ve been walking alongside young people and their families for over 15 years as they navigate some of life’s hardest moments. In my private practice, I support young people (8+), teens, parents, and adults with compassion, humour, and a deep respect for the many ways people heal and grow.
I believe therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or formal- it can be a conversation, a space to breathe, to laugh, to figure things out together. Healing happens in connection, and sometimes, in laughter too.
When I’m not in session, you’ll probably find me outside soaking in nature, trying to coax things to grow, reading a good book, eating chocolate, or playing far too many games on my phone.
My partner and I have four adult kiddos. We're all neurodivergent. Our journey together has taught me not just to understand neurodivergence, but to love it--to love the child first and work with how their brain works, not against it.
If you’re looking for a counsellor who’s real, grounded, and believes healing can happen through warmth, laughter, and genuine connection, I’d be honoured to meet you.
I am a registered Psychologist (6753) in Alberta I work with young people (8+), parents/caregivers, and adults. In my work, I provide a warm, peaceful, and slightly fun place to begin your healing journey. See you soon!
I make use of the following strategies and techniques in my practice:
I work to embrace and include culturally sensitive practices, and hope to help people develop their own best version of themselves.
